We are not alone

There is a bigger picture in space and time. There is intelligent life elsewhere, and it existed before us. (Job 1:6 compare Luke 3:38; Job 38:4-7; Eph. 3:10

It's all in a name

The battle between good and evil started before this world was created. We are not the major contestants. Lucifer (aka Devil, Satan) vs. Michael. (Rev. 12:7; Ezek. 28:13-15; Isa. 14:12)

Caught in the middle

The battle was transferred to this world. We became the battlefield, the theater. (Gen. 3:1-6; Rev. 12:8, 9; Rom. 5:12; Luke 4:5-7; Eph. 6:12; 1Cor. 4:9)

Asymmetrical warfare

The issues in the rebellion are simple. The complexity comes from the issues applying to every area of life. How can one side win?--It fights by taking. How can one side lose?--It fights by giving. (Matt. 23:11, 12; see handout Kingdom Overview)

Coded messages

Prophecies were given to show us where we are and what the big picture is. (Dan. 2, 7, 8, 11, 12; Revelation) (See handout Brief Table of Bible History and Prophecy to see where the lessons this quarter fit in the overall picture.)

On the wrong side and don't know it

"Come out of her, My people." (Rev. 18)

An end in sight

The battle will not go on forever. It will come to an end. The pattern for victory has been revealed:  it is judgment. The process of judgment has been tested; it works and will last. The end has begun! (Gen. 3:8-24; Dan. 5; Luke 19:41-48; Dan. 7:9, 10; 8:14)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it

Your mission is global in nature. It will take all your skill and knowledge. Nothing is more challenging or exciting. Don't try being a double agent. (Rev. 14:6-12; Rev. 18:1-8; Phil 1:21; Heb. 11:32 to 12:4; Matt. 6:24)
